This is how to make one of the lead synth in deadmau5 strobe. 2:55 shows completed head. Sound activated demonstration at 4:40!!! I built this in a span of about 6 weeks. It took a lot of time, patience, trial and error. I took pictures along the way so that others may have some insight on how I made mine. Please like it and recommend it to your Deadmau5 fan friends. I went off the specs that Deadmau5 himself published. It seems that each of his has slightly different specs, particularly with the ears. Materials: One 14 Inch Acrylic Globe (white or clear) for the Head Two 6 Inch Acrylic Globes (white) for the eyes Three or more yards of Stretch Velvet (should contain spandex) One box Parks Super Glaze One hard hat Furniture grade foam for ears and inside helmet Aluminum Mesh for mouth Two cans of white primer (spray paint) One can of satin finish red (spray paint) One can white epoxy (spray paint) Gorilla tape (1 inch width) 3M outdoor strength double sided tape (must be outdoor or industrial strength) Some bolts and wing nuts to attach ears with Industrial strength spray adhesive Some flexible plastic to use for the base of the ears (think Rubbermaid garbage can) Hot glue Solder Fishing line (thinner is better) Lighting: One el wire kit for outline/sihloutte of head Two fusion reactor necklaces (completely gutted) Two Velleman sound to light kits 25 pack of 15000 mcd red LED lights to substitute for the LEDs contained in the Velleman kits Some scrap wire a custom battery pack with on/off switch to power fusion reactor necklaces …
